The Unvailing

In an age of time, there was a land that was ruled by the hearts of men.  Judges guided the people in the ways of the Ancient and the inheritance of their fathers.  As good rested, evil found its way into this land with its subtle craft and deceptive grimace.  It was not a direct attack, but through the small and defensless, Evil made his dwelling.  In time, the people of Dankur gave over to the deception and slowly their eyes began to gray until the candle of life was no longer visible.  Their hearts no longer at peace nor could they see to guide themselves.  The people began to seek someone, even if it went against the wisdom of the Ancient, to guide them into the freedom they once knew.

From the shadows of Evil arose one with the beauty of gods and the stature of the great.  His name was Appolyon.  His words enchanted the hearts of the people until they surrendered all to his shallow promises of hope.  This continued until every...well almost every...family surrendered the lands their fathers had fought to give.  This Evil brought an army of foul beasts and orgs that were vailed to the people of Dankur.  These creatures subtly enslaved the men as foot soldiers to conquer their land and those neighboring.  There was a remnant that rose up to withstand this Evil.  Yet the blindness of the people stopped their mouths and Appolyon had them imprisoned.  One escaped under the direction of Laurena the Just.  He was sent to find the King of Salaom and to entreat his help!
